NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Sections 65090 and 65091 (Planning and Zoning Law) of the Government Code: the City of South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on October 8, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council Chambers, 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, South Lake Tahoe Airport, to consider the following 1. Presentation on the Bijou Park Creek Watershed Restoration Project. Summary: The Planning Commission will receive a presentation on this project, the purpose of which is to address declining water quality, nuisance flooding, and degradation of the Bijou Park Creek Stream Environment Zone (SEZ) that has occurred within the watershed. These goals would be achieved by implementing stormwater management improvements and restoring and enhancing the function of the SEZ in the eastern portion of the City of South Lake Tahoe. The Environmental Compliance Document and Mitigated Negative Declaration assess the potential environmental and social impacts of the proposed developments pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). City of South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission and Airport Land Use Commission Annual Report to City Council Summary: City Council Resolution 2019-088 requires the Planning Commission and the Airport Land Use Commission to submit a formal written report annually to the City Council at the Council's November meeting (Candace Stowell, Email Me) All interested persons are invited to attend and speak on the projects or may write their comments to the City Planning Division. Pursuant to Government Code Section 65009(b)(2), if you challenge the application in court, you may be limited to raising only those items you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Planning Division at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
