City of South Lake Tahoe Urgency Ordinance 2020-1144 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 28, 2020, the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council passed Urgency Ordinance 2020-1144 by the following vote: Yes: Bass, Collin, Laine, Middlebrook and Wallace "An Urgency Ordinance Relaxing Certain Regulations Regarding Temporary Signage, Building Permit Fees, and Outdoor Restaurant Seating due to COVID-19." City Attorney's Summary of Ordinance: "For the duration of the local emergency due to COVID-19, this ordinance waives certain temporary signage rules allowing banners and sandwich boards at any time and window signs exceeding 25 percent of the window area. The payment of certain building permit fees is temporarily deferred to prior to issuance of certificate of occupancy. This ordinance also temporarily allows relocation of permitted indoor seating at restaurants to outdoor seating after an appropriate inspection and meeting certain health and safety requirements."
