CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE 2020-1137 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 14, 2020, the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council passed Ordinance 2020-1137 by the following vote: Yes: Collin, Laine, Middlebrook and Wallace Recuse: Bass First Reading: December 3, 2019 Published: January 3, 2020 Effective: February 13, 2020 "An Ordinance Approving a Development Agreement with Perfect Union SLT, LLC for the Development and Use of Property at 2227 James Avenue, Suite 5, South Lake Tahoe as a Cannabis Microbusiness." City Attorney's Summary of Ordinance: "This ordinance approves a 5-year Development Agreement with Perfect Union SLT, LLC, for the operation of a cannabis microbusiness which includes cultivation, distribution, and retail sales with delivery with the potential for one 5-year extension. Perfect Union is proposing to operate a 2,206 square foot space located at 2227 James Avenue, Suite 5, the ground floor of which will be retail and distribution. The mezzanine will be used for cultivation. The Development Agreement is consistent with South Lake Tahoe City Code 6.55.790, et seq., which authorizes the execution of development agreements and sets forth the required content. Perfect Union will provide the City with a community benefit fee equal to 6% of gross receipts for retail and distribution and a community benefit fee equal to $20 per square foot of permitted cultivation canopy space (not to exceed 6% of gross receipts)."
